Jack Gage's American Tavern is a casual neighborhood tavern with upscale elements. Food will be based on Regional American Food with unique presentations and Southern Flavor flair. The centerpiece of the exposed kitchen will be a combination wood-fired rotisserie and broiler. In addition to chicken and roasts, the menu will feature bone-in steaks, entrée salads, fresh seafood, great sandwiches & USDA Black Angus Choice Chuck Burgers, and an all-day selection of Egg dishes.
Located in the South Plaza Neighborhood, the restaurant features banquet and party facilities. The first floor features two private dining rooms that will accommodate up to 40 guests and is equipped with built-in Audio/Visual capabilities—The Vault seats up to 32 guests and The Back Room seats up to 30 guests. The second floor features a full bar and will be used for dinner service or private parties up to 100 guests.
The focal point of the restaurant will be the 100-year old Jack Gage Boxing Stadium from the Crystal Palace in London, England. The boxing stadium was adapted as a bar and was most recently used at the House of Blues in Atlanta, Georgia during the 1996 Olympics.
Great comfort food, fabulous service! Shrimp & grits, fried green tomato/crab tower & weekend brunch are my favorites.
love this place. the fried green tomato crab tower is amazing! the fried portabello fries are great! all the food there is good southern food. and the prices are definetly inline.
